Howdy folks!

Well, it’s been a while again since I posted, hasn’t it? It’s 6 in the evening and I’m getting ready to go over to the better half’s place for the evening, as I do most evenings. I’m going to be writing this post on and off as I do things around the house; like feed the animals and tend to the plants.

SR and I had a GREAT weekend. It was relaxing and enjoyable; the more I’m around the guy, the more I want to be around the guy He made a killer meatloaf last night and I can’t wait to make sandwiches with it tonight.

Oh, I heard from an old freind this past week! Her name is Tammi and she goes by the handle “BluesMama”. She has a really nice page on MySpace: www.myspace.com/bluesmama80
It was great to hear from her; I haven’t talked to her in such a long time. She’s a sweet lady with a big heart. I’m looking forward to striking up an online freindship with her again.

The shop owner where I worked asked me to take a series of pictures of our shop to use as displays and for advertising. Here’s one of the myself and the crew I work with:

Yes, that dorky looking guy on the right is me; I look like an asshole! I had the camera on self-timer and ran into the scene after I hit the shutter. Speaking of catching up, I had an interesting weekend the weekend before last; I came home from work Friday evening to find they had shut off the gas to my apartment biulding!! I had no heat or hot water and the landlord was in Florida. I finally got ahold of him Saturday morning but the gas company wouldn’t turn it on until Monday. The landlord finally got back from Florida today and I talked to him. He fell all over himself apologizing for the gas; it turned out to be a billing and mailing snafu. All the utility bills for the building were to go to his house and they did for a couple of months. For some reason, they started coming here again. He said that’s what it was, anyways; I don’t know if I beleive him. He knew the gas has to be paid every month; I don’t understand why he didn’t call the gas company when he didn’t get a bill. He said he felt bad about it but the prick didn’t offer to take anything off the rent for my trouble and expenses. I spent a small fortune on wood for the fireplace. It’s a good thing I have a kind better half; SR was nice enough to let me use his shower and tub to get cleaned up that weekend so I wouldn’t have to take a cold shower.

Good Day all!

I was cleaning out my pictures folder on my computer here at work this morning and ran across this pic:

This was taken a few years back when I worked in Roanoke, VA. It’s a VW bus that had just had it’s fuel filter replaced at another shop. They got a few blocks down the street and this happened…I guess someone forgot to tighten a clamp It only took about 10 minutes for the whole bus to burn to the ground. Just something I thought I’d share.

Hehehe…guess what’s in my bay to be worked on? A new toy the lot has for sale:

This 2001 FatBoy is a repo from a local bank that the car lot has been hired to sell. We have it in for service and a new rear tire. I’ve been offered this thing at a discount if I want. It’s in pristine condition and has been well taken care of. Man, I’ll tell ya, it’s tempting, but I need something more practical. Still…the idea lingers…muhahahaha!

Naw, I’d better not. Still, it’s nice to dream. Ya’ll have a good weekend and I’ll post later on after I upgrade WordPress this weekend….or end up with this bike

Well, alrighty then! I was just informed by my boss, Jim, that I will be getting a 50 cent an hour raise this week. I had not asked for this nor had I anticipated it….I must be doing something right
