Good evening all!

Well, it’s been a long day, but I made it through work, through the Friday afternoon Detroit rush hour traffic, and I’m in Novi at the Novi Pet Expo! For those that don’t know, I’m here helping out with the Great Lakes Fancy Rat Association and their booth at the Expo.

Wow, I don’t know how to explain how friggin’ BIG this expo is!! There is every type of animal and every type of breed on display that you can imagine. Not to mention lots of pony rides, animal demonstrations, petting zoos, animal welfare groups, and pet goodies. The place where it’s being held, the Rock Financial Center, is absolutely enourmous and VERY well run. Lots of security, quite clean (even the bathrooms), and the folks there are freindly and very helpful.

The American Bulldog Association weight pulls. This massive Bulldog can pull a tremendous amount of weight, all at his master’s command, but I got to play with him a little bit and he’s the sweetest, most freindly dog you would ever get to meet!

Man, I wish I had more time to write about all the things I’ve seen tonight. However, it’s getting on to 10pm and I need to hit the hay (I’ve been up since 4am this morning). I need to get up early tomorrow to head back to Ohio to pick up the RaffinHouse crew. I’ll head out at 6am, and will be back at the Expo by 10am. If all goes well, I’ll be able to post from there. Look for lots of pics and fun with the GLFRA, The RaffinHouse Crew, and the Expo animals!

Morning all!

It’s finally Friday and I’m ready for the Novi Pet Expo! I’m at work right now, have a few jobs to finish up and after I grab my paycheck and get cleaned up, I’m on the road! I’ll post to my blog as soon as I get to the motel in Farmington, MI. Everyone have a great day and remember, where ever you go, there you are.

I’m back, the blog is back, bring out the dancing girls!

Well, ok, maybe it doesn’t warrant dancing girls (or boys), but none the less, BowerBlog is back online and will be updated again on a regular basis.I spent this morning fixing the Raffinhouse heating system. There were a couple of gas leaks and some ductwork needed replacing. Much to my amazment, when I removed the old ductwork, I found the chimney completely plugged up from roof work earlier this year! I pulled about 10 pounds of leaves, mortar, brick dust, and dirt from the base and finally got the thing open again. After cleaning it, it had an updraft that would pull the hat off your head! Yet another fire put out Tomorrow is gonna be busy for me too. I have brakes to put on a friends car in the morning, Phoebe the dog gets dropped off to the groomers at 11:30, and then I go out to the parents for lunch and to fix the brakes on their truck.This coming weekend is what I’m really looking forward to. I’ll be spending the weekend in Novi, MI, at the Pet Expo. The RaffinHouse crew will be staying at the Farmington Hills Red Roof Inn and will be helping out with the GLFRA’s booth. I’ve helped out at several of of these large pet shows and they are a GREAT deal of fun! I’m going to try to post to my blog live from the event and if I can’t do that, I’ll post as often as I can from the motel.

In the meantime, everyone have a great weekend and I’ll post again this evening or tomorrow.
