Well, it’s about 11:30pm here, I’ve had a few beers, and thought I’d make a post.
They are predicting a bad winter storm here for this evening and tomorrow; possibly 6 inches of snow or more. From the looks of it, I doubt it’s going to get that bad; it’s staying too warm. Right now it’s a snow/rain mix coming down outside, but the temps are staying just above freezing. For lack of anything better to do, I grabbed my camera and took an infrared night shot out one of my front windows…here it is:
I had a pretty good day today. The better half (SR) has his granddaughter this weekend and we all went bopping around town to some of the local pet stores. Man, we went to one that was absolutely disgusting! SR had told me about this place before, but I guess I didn’t really believe him until I went there myself today. He was right!! The store was smelly, dirty, the pets were in poor condition, lacking food, the cages were dirty, and the owners didn’t even bother to greet us while we were there. This place NEEDS to be shut down. There is no reason to keep pets under those conditions. SR bought a couple of finches from them a while back; they seem to be healthy; I hope they stay that way. The store did have a gorgeous full-size parrot, almost all a full, deep red. Man, it was beautiful! However, it didn’t look too happy and its beak was not in the best of shape. I suspect it was not in good health. Cripes, I get pissed seeing helpless animals in situations like that; there is no reason for it. SR’s granddaughter wanted to get out of there right away…and I don’t blame her!
As for this evening, I’ve spent most of the evening in front of my computer doing some web work and over-due basic maintenance.
It’s getting late now, around midnight, so I guess I’d better hit the hay. If the snow isn’t too bad, we’re all going out to my parents for lunch tomorrow. My mom is a great cook, so it should be good. Oh yeah, I installed the rest of the speakers that go with my Dolby Surround Sound stereo system tonight. Man o Man, does it make movies sound better! Maybe I’ll throw one of my favourite DVD’s in and see how it sounds. Anyways, yack at ya all later, take care, and ya’ll be good to yourselves.
As Always,
Chris
